Boy with cancer who uses cannabis switches oncologists
Three-year-old Landon Riddle who’s been battling cancer using cannabis capsules will be seeing a new oncologist in Arizona. His mom decided to leave Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs.
Mom, Sierra Riddle, was ordered by child Protective Services to switch him back on chemotherapy for his leukemia in September.
Now, doctors wanted to take her back to court for disagreeing with their decision to put Landon on more medications Sierra believes are ‘toxic’.
“To me at this point, it’s gone way too far. It had gone too far earlier when they infringed on my parental rights. Now it’s gone two steps beyond that and I won’t tolerate it,” said Sierra Riddle.
Child Protective Services did not grant the doctors’ court request. Sierra has dropped those doctors and found a new oncologist in Phoenix, Arizona. Landon has been using cannabis capsules since January both with and without chemotherapy. He is in remission.
