2 Dead in I-25 rollover near Trinidad

Two people are dead after a semi-truck rolled over on I-25 south of Trinidad Thursday morning.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-25 at 6:47 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013.

The Colorado State Patrol says Roberto Anaya, 58, of Ontario, California was driving the truck. Anaya was pronounced dead at Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad.

The passenger in the truck has been identified as Roberto Villarreal, 57, of Duarte, California. Villarreal was pronounced dead at Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad.

Troopers say neither man was wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Southbound I-25 was closed at mile marker 11 for much of the morning. It reopened at 10:55 a.m.
