Costco sorry for labeling Bibles as ‘fiction’

A California Costco store is apologizing after a pastor discovered that the Bibles on sale were labeled as “Fiction.”

Caleb Kaltenbach, the pastor of Discovery Church in Simi Valley, was looking for a gift for his wife when he noticed the labeling on the Bibles.

He took a picture and tweeted it to his congregation with the caption, “Costco has Bibles for sale under the genre of fiction…hmmmm.”

“I was completely offended. I believe the Bible is real and it shouldn’t be marked fiction,” church member Shellie Dungan said.

Costco issued an apology and stated that the stores would be “immediately relabeling all mislabeled Bibles.”
