Road closures after accident
Colorado Springs utilities is finishing work clearing a number of downed electrical wires from the road this morning.
According topolice, a onevehicle accident caused a number ofthewires to fall onto the road,forcing intersections in Colorado Springs to close.
Workers say they should finish clearing the wires by 8:30 this morning.
Traffic is currently being rerouted near the closed intersection of Austin Bluffs and Barnes.
A half block of Parks Vista accessing Austin Bluffs is closed.
Barnes Road is also closed west of Doherty High School.
The schoool may still be accessed from Oro Blanco and Barnes.
Police said the driver of the vehicleinvolved in the crashwas arrested for DUI.
