Police search for man accused of threatening to shoot people

Colorado Springs police are looking for a man accused of threatening to shoot several people.

The incident happened in the 900 block of Bennett Ave. Thursday night.

Police say 23-year-old JuJaun Tanelle Vinson pointed a semi-automatic handgun at several people and threatened to shoot them. Vinson left the scene before police responded. The car he was seen leaving in returned to the scene shortly after. Police tried to stop the car, but the car drove off, prompting a car chase. Police had to end the chase because of heavy traffic and the dangerous actions of the driver of the suspect car.

Vinson is wanted for multiple counts of felony menacing. He also has another felony warrant and a misdemeanor warrant.

Vinson is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a black man, about 5’6″ tall and 165 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes.

Vinson was last seen driving a white Crown Victoria with Colorado license plate 011-ZHA.

Police say if you see Vinson or his car, do not approach him and call police instead.
