Pueblo hit-and-run investigation continues

The person who was the victim of a hit-and-run in Pueblo is struggling to stay alive.

The victim is 35-year-old Earl Mullenex Jr. and his condition is worsening. Police said the driver was going west on 29th, when he hit Mullenex at Country Club Drive on Sunday around 10:30 p.m.

Earl Mullenex Jr. was walking to his girlfriend’s house when he was hit, according to police.

Police said they are looking for a full-size Chevy pick-up truck. The truck is maroon with a silver strip. They believe the truck is a 1988 to 1999 model. There will be damage on the driver’s side and to the mirror or windshield.

The person will face charges that include leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid.
