Woman dead after shooting Denver deputy
A woman is dead after shooting one of two Denver sheriff’s deputies serving a warrant at a home near downtown on Wednesday.
Officers said two deputies were serving a woman an arrest warrant for “family issues” at an apartment complex at 305 Park Avenue West when the woman opened fire.
One deputy was shot and his partner shot and killed the woman, according to our sister station in Denver, KMGH.
The wounded deputy is in critical condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Initial reports said the deputy was shot in the hand.
