KRDO NewsRadio, the #1 rated news station in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado is looking for a news rock star to take the station to the next level. We are looking for someone who has a real passion for the news!
Duties and Responsibilities:
The right candidate will co-anchor a four hour news block, write newscasts, edit audio and post to the KRDO Radio website. Our radio news cast is broadcast on radio as well as television so our perfect candidate must be comfortable being on TV.
Requirements:
Candidate must have at least a BA in Journalism, English, Political Science, Economics, Telecommunications or Communications. You must possess strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and an understanding of audience needs and expectations. Must have a minimum of four years experience anchoring and reporting regularly scheduled newscasts in a commercial broadcast radio and/or TV facility. We are looking for someone with a pleasing personality and voice, along with strong digital audio editing skills. You will need to be creative, inquisitive, and should be able to interact well with others, including co-workers, news makers and station clients. Our successful candidate must have a mastery of the English language both written and spoken. You must be willing and able to participate in community activities and other public events. We are looking for an avid news consumer who listens, watches and reads news on radio, TV, news paper, and the internet. Must be a team player!
