Colorado Springs ranked ’13th Gayest City in America’ in 2013
The city of Colorado Springs has been ranked 13th Gayest City in America by The Advocate, a national gay and lesbian magazine.
The magazine used a point system and included some date from the state of Colorado.
Colorado Springs got credit for the state having 9 LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) elected officials, even though non of them are from Colorado Springs.
The city earned its own points for having a company with an equality index of 100 and for having a bisexual resource group.
The rankings also included odd indicators like the number of roller derby leagues and shopping.
