Suspected Kmart robber arrested

A man suspected of shoplifting from the Kmart on Nevada Ave. was arrested Sunday.

Police say Kyle Hirschfield, 25, was followed by a loss prevention officer after he tried leaving the store.

Hirschfield pulled out a gun threatening to harm the officer. He then fled on foot.

Police found Hirschfield in the 3400 block of N. El Paso St. shortly after. When police tried contacting him, he ran into a mobile home park nearby.

Officers caught Hirschfield shortly after and arrested him under suspicion of aggravated robbery.

The gun Hirschfield wielded was found near the area where he was arrested.
