3 juveniles arrested for setting fire to holiday decorations
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested three juveniles Monday, accused of setting fire to holiday decorations in the Woodmoor and Monument areas.
On December 30, 2012, around 8:30 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received reports of damage to holiday decorations. Deputies and arson investigators arrived and confirmed residents’ suspicions.
The investigation revealed multiple residences had been targeted and received damage to outdoor holiday decorations and dcor as well as damage to several mailboxes.
After continuing investigation into the matter, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office identified three suspects. The names of the suspects will not be released due to each being under the age of eighteen, the sheriff’s office said.
The suspects were charged individually with Second Degree Arson a Class 4 Felony and Criminal Mischief a Class 1 Misdemeanor and released to the custody of their parents.
