Teenager hit by a car in Colorado Springs

A 15-year-old girl was hit by car in the 2100 block of East Platte Ave. while she was crossing the street Friday night.

Police say the girl was crossing the street in the middle of the block with an older sibling.

The girl was standing next to a center median when the driver’s side of a Land Rover struck her.

She was taken to the hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

The girl was released from the hospital and was cited for Pedestrians in Roadway.

The driver was evaluated for driving under the influence. He did not show signs of intoxication.
