One injured in Colorado Springs shooting
Colorado Springs police are investigating a late-night shooting in the 2000 block of Platte Ave.
Police responded to a shots fired call in the area at about 11:15 p.m. Friday.
Witnesses on scene said they heard numerous gunshots.
Police searched the area and found a number of shell casings and other items of evidence.
Shortly afterwards, they were notified of a shooting victim at Memorial Central Hospital.
Police found out that two groups were fighting in the area and one group fired shots at the other.
The victim is in stable condition and is expected to live.
