Prayer vigil held for family and friends of missing teen
Family and friends of Dylan Redwine gathered in Monument on Sunday night to pray for his safe return.
The teen has been missing for nearly two weeks. He vanished on Nov. 19. His father, Mark Redwine, said he left to run errands and when he returned Dylan was gone.
Dylan was at his house near Vallecito Lake on a court ordered visit.
Police have searched the neighborhood and Vallecito Lake. So far, nothing has turned up.
Investigators just finished searching the home of Dylan’s father this weekend. They have ruled out the possibility that Dylan ran away.
“It’s really hard how this is affecting our family … To have our community come together to share in hope and prayers, can’t beat that,” said Dylan’s cousin Nicole Yost.
Dozens of people gathered for the informal prayer vigil at Monument’s Limbach Park.
“It’s pretty unbelievable. I have never known someone who went missing before,” said classmate Zack Stowell.
Stowell said Dylan is quite an athlete and often was the star of their dodgeball games in gym class.
Family members also urged the public to continue their valiant search efforts for the teen.
