Colo. unemployment rate decreases slightly to 8.2%
Colorado’s unemployment rate decreased to 8.2 percent in August, down one-tenth of a percentage point from July’s unemployment rate of 8.3 percent.
The Denver Post reports that figures released Friday by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment show the largest over the month private sector job gains were in financial activities and professional and business services. Meanwhile, the largest over the month declines were in trade, transportation and utilities and leisure and hospitality.
The national unemployment rate in August was 8.1 percent.
