Colorado #28, Maine #1 In Peaceful States
When it comes to getting peace and quiet, it’s all about location.
If you need a little peace and quiet, head to Maine.
It’s been named the most peaceful state in the annual United States Peace Index.
The survey was issued by the Institute for Economics and Peace.
Researchers looked at several factors, including the number of homicides, violent crimes and incarceration rate.
Vermont is the second most peaceful state, followed by New Hampshire, Minnesota and Utah.
According to the survey, the least peaceful state is Louisiana.
Colorado ranked 28 on the survey.
