Blowing Dust From San Luis Valley

Strong wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph in the San Luis Valley has resulted in dust and sand being picked up and moved to the northeast Friday afternoon. While visibility has reduced in some areas along the Front Range the biggest hazard is to those with respiratory issues. If possible you should remain indoors this afternoon if you struggle with respiratory problems or significant asthma. A cold front later this evening will reduce the strong wind gusts.
