Woman Displaced After Apartment Fire
Colorado Springs firefighters battle a blaze early Saturday morning at the Sunset Creek Apartments on North Nevada. The blaze displaced one young woman.
The blaze was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. and firefighters said they were able to get the fire under control within about 10 minutes.
Part of the complex was evacuated while crews battled the blaze.
We are told the fire started in an apartment in the second floor of the complex.
A female, in her 20’s, lived in the unit that was destroyed. Officials said she can’t go back into the apartment.
The Red Cross is helping the young woman who was displaced by the blaze.
