Hazardous Materials Spilled On I-25 At N. Nevada

A truck has spilled hazardous materials on northbound I-25 north of N. Nevada Ave.

As of 2:30 p.m. all lanes of I-25 have been reopened. Crews are cleaning debris on the left shoulder. The left and center lanes were initially closed as crews worked to clean the medical waste off the highway.

According to Colorado Springs Fire Department, they are working with the company that had used medical supplies fall off their truck to clean the highway.

Hazardous materials are believed to have spilled for a long stretch of the highway and may be as far north as N. Academy.
