Parking Lot Suicide Is Child Sex Assault Suspect

There was a shooting suicide in a dark-colored SUV in the parking lot of the Police Operations Center Tuesday afternoon. The shooting/suicide victim has been identified as 53-year-old Raymond Turner.

Police initially blocked off the 700 block of eastbound Rio Grande in front of the parking lot, but it has since reopened.

Turner is accused of four counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. All of the victims are nine years old and younger. The victims say he was babysitting them with his wife during the alleged assaults at his home off Florence Avenue near the Southgate Mall.
