Suspicious Stranger Situation In School District 11

The Colorado Springs Police Department and School District 11 would like to inform the community about a report of a suspicious situation.

A female Sabin Middle School student reported on Friday that she saw a suspicious person near her bus stop around 8:00 a.m. The student tells police that a Hispanic or white male in his 40’s, wearing a white baseball hat, driving a silver Chevy Tahoe, or similar style SUV, drove slowly past her while she waited at a bus stop in the area of Potter Drive and Galley Road. The driver then turned around heading south on Potter and stopped a block south of the bus stop.

The male never exited his vehicle or attempted to contact the student. The student indicated the vehicle remained parked on Potter as she left the area on the bus. The incident has been documented as a suspicious circumstance report, taken by the CSPD School Resource Officers.

If anyone has any details in reference to this incident please notify the Police Department at 444-7000.
