Funeral Wednesday For Shooting Victim

A service to celebrate the life of Austin Howse was held Wednesday afternoon.

The funeral service started at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 5055 El Camino Drive.

Howse, 16, was a victim of the shooting on Mira Loma Circle last Wednesday. Wayne Fix, 19, and Aaron Fix, 16, were also killed during the attack.

Friends of Howes said they want the community to remember his love of Superman, motocross, and family.

El Paso County District Attorney Dan May was in attendance. He said some people in his office knew the Howes family, and that the deaths of all three teens was a great loss for the entire community.

A memorial fund has been set up in Austin’s name at ENT Federal Credit Union. The account number is 562839.
