Bank Robber On The Run
A suspect is on the run after robbing the Pikes Peak National Bank in Fountain on Monday.
According to Fountain police, it happened around 9 a.m. at 6615 Camben Blvd.
Employees told police the robber walked in and tried to use a stun gun while demanding money. The robber also claimed he had a handgun, but it was never seen, said police.
Police said there were a handful of employees inside, but no one was hurt.
The suspect was able to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is described as a black man about 6’3″ and 210 pounds with a thin build.
Employees told police he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and used the hood to cover his face. He was also wearing gray pants.
The FBI is assisting the Fountain Police Department in the investigation.
