KRDO’s Pet of the Week, brought to you by the Humane Society and High Country Veterinary Hospital.
Groot is your KRDO pet of the week from Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region! Groot is a two-year-old brown tiger and white Domestic Shorthair cat that came in as a owner surrender and now he’s looking for his new home.
Groot can be a little on the shy side, but he still loves to lean into cheek and chin rubs. He will need time to adjust to his new home. It’s recommended that he’s placed in his own sanctuary room with food, water, bed, toys, scratching post, and litter box that will help him adapt. The room should be quiet and offer hiding places for Groot to escape to. Once Groot has acclimated to the room, a slow introduction to other pets and the rest of the house can begin. He will require patience!
