UCCS wins in season opener

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The UCCS women's basketball team won its opening night showdown, 73-68, over Chadron State.

The Mountain Lions took a 21-18 lead in the second quarter, and never looked back.

Tatum Tellin led the Mountain Lions with 14 points.

UCCS will host Black Hills State on December 19th.
