COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Discovery Canyon enters the season with a mostly new crop of players, but the same expectations. With Palmer Ridge moving up to 4A, DCC has an opportunity to take over as the team to beat in class 3A…

"We are some dogs. We're going to get after it. I want to know that. When they play us, they'll be like, "Aw we have to play DCC." I want that type of mentality for every other team that wants to play us," says receiver and safety Justin Pruitt.

"Even though we have a shorter season, we are going to work every single day to prove that we are going to be up there," says quarterback Kenneth Pasion. "One day we're going to win a state championship."
