Colorado College hires Jeff Conarroe as men’s hoops coach

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Jeff Conarroe's college hoops career began at Colorado College. He was a three-year letter winner.

Now, he returns to CC as the men's head basketball coach. He comes to CC from CSU Baksersfield, where he coached for nine seasons; most recently as the associate head coach.

"There's no question that Colorado College is going to win championships, and a lot of championships, in the near future, Conarroe said on Saturday. "Now to go back with amazing facilities, and an even more elite academic program and it was when I was in college, and a leader ship team that's in place depositions you to do great things. As everything kind of played out, it became clear that this is the right job at the right time. It made it a lot easier to go down that road. I guess this process has been evolving for 20-some odd years. I think it got serious in the last four weeks."
