CSU-Pueblo golfer named Division Two Ping All-American
Andrew Ni of the Colorado State University-Pueblo Men's Golf team earned NCAA D-II Ping All-American honors.
Ni (Jr., Edinburgh, Scotland) was voted a Third Team All-American. He is the first ThunderWolf to earn All-American accolades since Andrew Hedrick in 2007.
In 2019-20, Ni posted a 71.20 stroke average. Ni's stroke average would stand as a school record. Ni's stroke average is 1.5 strokes per round better than Fraser Hughes' school record set last season.
Ni ranks No. 17 in the NCAA D-II Golf Stat Rankings. He is the highest ranked golfer in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
As a junior, Ni placed in the top five in 4- of -5 tournaments. Ni won the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational, the Pack's home meet at Walking Stick Golf Course, for the second consecutive season. He shot a season-best -6 (66) on day one of this event.
Ni played under par in seven of his 15 rounds. Ni also carded an even par in four rounds. With 11 rounds at or under par, Ni played under par in 73.3 percent of his rounds.
Ni finished in the top 5 in four of his five tournaments. This ranks as the fourth-highest number of top five finishes in a season in program history. He was named RMAC Golfer of the Week Sept. 19, 2019.
