Air Force will play Colorado College in an outdoor hockey game at Falcon Stadium

"We're playing outside. We get to play outside," says Air Force hockey coach Frank Serratore. That's right, game on! Air Force and Colorado College will play hockey outdoors at Falcon Stadium on President's day. This will be the second time that C.C. will play outdoors, they played Denver at Coors Field in 2016. It will be Air Force's first outdoor game. It's an opportunity for the players to go back to their roots from when they played pond hockey, "I'd be out there from sun up to sundown basically when I didn't have stuff to do. It's kind of when you fall in love of the game just getting out there with you're buddies and just enjoying the outdoors and playing hockey," says Brady Tomlak. Matt Pulver added, "Your nose got really cold. Your ears got cold. Then you go in the house and for a little bit warm up some hot chocolate mom made and then go back out on the ice and do it all over again." "Hey when you're from the north I mean we were hockey players we played hockey outdoors," says Serratore.

When it was announced back in October that the Avs would play in another outdoor game, this is what Falcon Stadium looked like on that day, the players are hoping for this scene again, "I think the blizzard would be cool but I don't know how cool it would be to play in it," says Tomlak "I'm hoping it's a blizzard almost too. It will be fun no matter what happens," says Tomlak.

What's also going to be cool beside the conditions will be the fact that two rivals will be playing the elements, "To play outdoors against our cross town rivals. I think it will be a special moment that I will remember for the rest of my life," says Pulver.
