LED lights to help COS residents on electric bills

People in Colorado Springs who may have a hard time making ends meet with the bills are getting a little bit of a break.

New LED lights were donated to residents in hopes of saving some money.

The lights should help to cut costs of electric bills.

The lights were donated by the Energy Resource Center which recently got more than 14,000 LED bulbs.

People who received the lights say they’re very thankful for the ERC.

“They brought in these wonderful LED light bulbs, which is going to save us a ton of money. It’s just a game changer for us. The work they’ve done, the level of compassion and professionalism is just outstanding, bar none,” said Robert Thew, homeowner.

Those who got new lights on Wednesday should be able to save up to $85,000 in bills combined.
