Accused child molester in court; Alleged victims as young as 3-years-old

A man who is accused of sexually assaulting several children while they were in the care of his wife appeared in court Tuesday morning.

New information about the charges that John Frey, 68, is facing came to light.

Frey will answer to charges that he molested five children, but there are additional alleged victims.

The little girl who first reported Frey’s alleged crimes was three years old. Another alleged victim was abused between the ages of four and six, prosecutors said.

Frey’s bond was increased to $50,000 at the request of the prosecution. It was originally set at $15,000.

Investigators say Frey had access to the children through his wife’s unlicensed home daycare.

Frey faces multiple life sentences if convicted.
