Parts of southern Colorado wake up to snow, slick roads
As heavy snow fell across Colorado’s central and northern mountains Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, some snow showers spilled over into Teller County and parts of El Paso County.
People in Woodland Park woke up to a landscape coated in white.
Slippery road conditions were found in Teller County and northern El Paso County. Several accidents were reported around Monument.
Snow showers fell across much of the Colorado Springs area, but they were brief and in most cases, the snow did not accumulate or impact the roads.
Several inches of snow fell in the high mountains overnight, where winter weather advisories were issued. Those advisories have since expired.
If you plan to travel into the mountains Wednesday, you should plan for changing travel conditions.
