Veterans voice concerns about Colorado Springs VA clinic
Veterans shared their stories about the Colorado Springs VA clinic Monday night.
El Paso County commissioner Peg Littleton hosted the event.
The meeting comes a few weeks after a VA Inspector General’s report showed employees at the Colorado Springs clinic may have lied about wait times.
“There’s still problems concerning accountability, appointments and taking care of our veterans in our timely manner,” Tom Florez of the American Legion Department of Colorado said. “The VA needs to change its mindset. They need to acknowledge publicly that some of their methods are not quite right.”
Commissioner Littleton said she hopes veterans sharing their stories will lead to change.
