Colorado Springs police find stolen vehicle at crash scene
Colorado Springs police are investigating after discovering a car that crashed, was stolen from a hospital last month.
They found that the driver of a 2015 Toyota Corolla crashed it in the3000 block of Montebello Drive West, Saturday morning.
When they arrived on scene of the single-vehicle accident, police discovered it was the same vehicle that had been carjacked at St. Francis Hospital Oct. 19.
Police say the driver and passenger ran from the scene before they arrived.
Officers found about 1,000 pieces of evidence inside, but won’t say what or the role they will play in the investigation.
