Pueblo police don’t want any tricks on Halloween
While most people will be getting candy or partying, Pueblo police will be out making sure people are safe on Halloween.
Sgt. Daniel Anderson said at least four more officers will be on patrol Saturday night.
“Officers are going to be watching kids, driving through the neighborhoods just to look for anything that is suspicious or out of the ordinary,” he said.
Officers said some of the most common crimes they see are vandalism, like people stealing or smashing pumpkins, and cars being stolen because they’re left unlocked or running.
Anderson said to always inspect the candy before kids eat it. This is to make sure there aren’t any loose wrappers and they haven’t been tampered with. He also suggests having kids wear something that illuminates so that people can see them.
