Local Republicans react to 3rd debate
A conservative club in Colorado Springs hosted a debate watch party for the third Republican presidential debate that was held in Boulder Wednesday night.
Around 40 republicans who are active in politics in our state got together at the Airplane Club in Colorado Springs to watch the debate.
Those in attendance said nearly every candidate had support within the group.
“We have a rather large contingent of folks who like Dr. Ben Carson. Donald Trump is also resonating well with some of the others and I also know that Ted Cruz is
popular with other folks,” Republican supporter Charlie Ehler said.
The group says the debate being held in our state highlights how important Colorado is as a swing state for the presidential candidates.
