Former Police Officer Facing New Drug Charges

Pueblo Police say 31-year-old Gloria Suazo was arrested for allegedly selling crack cocaine, a day after a federal judge let her remain free, after she pleaded guilty to separate drug charges.

According to our partners at the Pueblo Chieftain, Suazo, a former Walsenburg Police officer, was allowed to remain free to take care of her children, while she awaits sentencing for a federal heroin crime.

Suazo was working in Walsenburg in April, when she and her former husband, Jeromy Suazo, were arrested for possession and distribution of heroin.

Suazo pleaded guilty Wednesday (10/29/14).

Pueblo police say they arrested Suazo on Thursday (10-30-14) night for allegedly selling crack from her car, while she had her two children with her.

She was booked into jail, a friend picked up her children.
