Verizon outages affecting several states

COLORADO (KRDO) -- Verizon Services told customers Wednesday the company was aware of service disruptions affecting several states.

According to Verizon Support, the outages are caused by a "fiber issue in the core of the network." They say that caused some customers to experience intermittent call failures.

However, the phone provider said as of 5:30 p.m. "the issue was identified and resolved by Verizon engineers and the majority of customers should be seeing service as usual."
