A Co. Springs proposal could allow employees to carry guns
City employees could soon carry concealed guns at work. Council will hear the proposal tomorrow.
Today – we’re looking into what it would mean
Right now only elected officials and the public can carry concealed firearms in most city buildings.
Colorado Springs Mayor Steve Bach wants that to change. Tuesday council will hear the mayor’s proposal.
It allows all city employees to carry a concealed firearm if they are allowed according to state and local laws. If the proposal passes, people will still be unable to carry firearms inside the police department.
Open carry would still be illegal in city buildings.
