SUV hits fourplex, causes gas leak

Residents in a fourplex will have to live without power for most of the day Sunday after an SUV crashed into their building.

It happened at 3965 Stonedike Dr. near Centennial and Fillmore.

A young man was trying to jump his vehicle when the break malfunctioned and the SUV rolled down a hill into the fourplex.

When the SUV hit the building it hit a gas pipe, causing a fairly major gas leak.

Eight people were evacuated from the building while fire fighters made sure the building was safe. The power will be cut off for 10-12 hours as the building ventilates.

No one was injured in the accident.
