No deadly DUI crashes in Colorado during New Year’s holiday
The Colorado State Patrol announced Wednesday that initial statistics indicate that there were no deadly crashes due to impaired driving during the holiday weekend.
The CSP investigated four crashes where someone was injured and alcohol or drugs were suspected factors of the crash. Troopers in Grand Junction investigated one deadly crash in which a suspected drunk pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on New Year’s Day.
Troopers issued 81 DUI/D citations in Colorado between December 28 and January 2.
