Online Dating May Be A Waste
Millions are on online dating sites. But are you wasting your money looking for love online?
You may be according to a recent study by this professor of psychiatry who runs the relationship institute, studying marriage at UCLA. Professor Benjamin Karney says, “Online dating sites are very unlikely to have the power to make better choices for you that you can make yourself.”
eHarmony points out he’s never seen the actual science that goes into their love formula. But Karney says that’s part of the problem: online dating sites claim scientific results, but won’t provide any evidence those hefty questionnaires use science to find a better match.
