Assault, Attempted Murder Arrest
A man is behind bars after police say he tried to strangle a woman several times while he was fighting with her.
Colorado Springs police say Nicholas Harris, 24, tried to strangle a female victim at the Walmart in Fountain, and made several threats to kill her. After the assault at 6 p.m. Thursday, she convinced him to go to the store where she asked someone to call the police.
The Domestic Violence Unit took over the investigation. Harris faces several charges including Attempted Second Degree Murder, Second Degree Assault, False Imprisonment and Child Abuse.
