Thanksgiving Forecast
Thursday: Starting off the morning at a chilly 16 degrees with light winds and mostly cloudy skies. The biggest problem travelers will have to deal with is patchy black ice. Roads are still recovering from Tuesday's heavy snow event, and as temperatures haven't escaped the 20s since, slick spots are still an issue. Temperatures warming into the high 30s and low 40s in central/southern Colorado during the daytime with minimal precipitation chances except in the far southwestern corner of the state as the San Juan Mountains will experience snowfall.
Friday: A cold front will approach from the west bringing moderate to heavy snow across the central/western Colorado mountains. As for I-25, light rain/flurries will be possible during the afternoon with minor impacts on any traveling.
