LAKE PUEBLO STATE PARK, Colo. (KRDO) -- In the wake of boating events across the country to show support for President Donald Trump, a similar boat parade was held this weekend at Lake Pueblo.

The rally began around 11 a.m. Sunday. Boaters lined up at the south shore marina, and heading north toward "party cove." around 200 Trump boats set sail, according to spectators.

This isn't the first boat parade for Trump in Colorado, and the events have been hits in several other states, albeit with some setbacks.

Last month, many boaters took to Horsetooth Reservoir in northern Colorado for a boat parade that went successfully, but a large parade at Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, resulted in several boats sinking from the high wakes of other boats.

The event didn't appear to be sponsored by any official group or the Republican Party.
