Fewer storms expected heading into the weekend
TONIGHT: Thunderstorms will linger into the evening as the push east across the plains as showers and thunderstorms come to an end along the Front Range. Lows overnight will fall into the upper-50s and low-60s overnight.
FRIDAY: A scorcher of a day to end the week as high pressure builds back west warming our afternoon well into the 90's with triple digit heat across the eastern plains. A few isolated storms possible after 3pm. Severe weather threat low.
EXTENDED: Shower and thunderstorm chances will decrease slightly as we head into the weekend as temperatures climb. Highs Saturday will be in the mid-90s and low-100s out across the plains. A very typical 20% chance for isolated late-day storms both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday a front will be draped to our north likely not sweeping through until late Sunday into Monday increasing shower and storm activity and cooling temps as we start the next upcoming work-week.
