Unsettled weather continues this afternoon
TODAY: Thursday will likely be a repeat performance of the last couple of days, with hot temperatures and a chance for showers and thunderstorms heading into the afternoon and evening. We'll be looking at mainly sunny skies up through noon with showers and thunderstorms building after the lunch hour. Expect highs today to climb into the mid-80s around Colorado Springs and the mid-90s around Pueblo.
TONIGHT: Thunderstorms along the Front Range will begin to die off after the sun sets Thursday evening. But expect convective thunderstorms to continue deeper into the night out across the eastern plains. Everyone should begin to quiet down overnight as we head into Friday morning. Most areas across southern Colorado will see partial clearing overnight for a mostly sunny start to your Friday.
EXTENDED: Once again Friday afternoon will feature a chance for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Friday night and Saturday the region will finally see a changing weather pattern as an area of low pressure off the southern California coast begins to move across the four corners region. This will keep our chances for showers and thunderstorms going into Saturday morning before we eventually dry things out for the second half of the weekend. A secondary area of low pressure will bring a cooling trend our way for early next week.
