Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Warm Start To The Weekend! – 11/9/19
Overview: An area of high pressure will keep warm, dry conditions in place across the area for much of the weekend. We're tracking another cold front that will bring much colder air and a chance for light snow to the area on Veterans Day. As the early week system exits the area we'll start to warm up again.
Today: Sunny and warmer with some breezy pockets, mainly on the higher terrain or over the far eastern plains. We expect the air will warm into the 70s for the plains of eastern Colorado with mainly 50s and 60s for the mountains and mountain valleys.
Tonight: Clear early with a few clouds drifting over the area late. A weak cold front will likely kick up the wind at least temporarily late tonight, especially east of the I-25 corridor. The wind will help to stir the air through the night so most areas will only cool into the 30s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy and a little cooler with high temperatures in the 50 and 60s.
Extended: Much colder air will move over the area Sunday night with areas of light snow developing by Monday morning. Monday will be much colder with high temperatures only in the 20s and 30s. Right now it appears accumulations of snow will remain light with most areas probably only receiving an inch or two, but that may be enough for roadways to become slick over some areas, at least temporarily. The air should warm again the rest of next week although a weak cold front may cool the air a bit on Thursday. We'll track mountain wave clouds that will likely develop over the area occasionally through the week, and there will be pockets of wind at times, but it appears that the rest of the week will remain dry.
