Off-duty Palmer Lake police officer arrested after shooting

PALMER LAKE, Colo. (KRDO) -- An off-duty officer with the Palmer Lake Police Department is facing several charges after allegedly shooting another law enforcement officer early Monday morning.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to a home around 12:15 a.m. Monday for a reported shooting. The victim's condition wasn't given, but they survived their injuries.

According to the DCSO, officer Brian Saltzman was arrested and booked on charges of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and prohibited use of weapons.
