Aurora Walmart shuttered after 3 coronavirus deaths
DENVER (AP) - Health officials closed a suburban Denver Walmart after three people connected to the store died after being infected with the coronavirus and at least six people who work there tested positive.
The Tri-County Health Department said Thursday that a 69-year-old man who worked for a private security company at the Aurora store died along with a 72-year-old store employee and her 63-year-old husband.
The officials in their order to immediately shut down the Walmart said that requirements for social distancing had not been followed at the store.
Walmart did not directly respond to that claim but says the store is being cleaned.
